HYDERABAD: Registration of case against Nazim flayed

HYDERABAD, Dec 26: A large number of activists of the Pakistan People’s Party, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam and the Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party, Matiari sub-division, staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Thursday.

They were protesting against the registration of what they called false case against Sekhat Union Council Nazim Akhund Javed Akhtar Siddiq, JUI leader Pir Abdul Wahab Sarhandi and their supporters.

They also staged a sit-in on the Press Club Road for about one hour.

Speaking at the rally, they said their opponents who were defeated in the local bodies elections had got the FIR registered at the Hatri police station.

They demanded the Sindh government should order a judicial inquiry into the matter.

SU ADMISSIONS: The director, admissions, University of Sindh, has announced the schedule for admission to various disciplines under the economical self-finance scheme for academic session of 2003-2004.

The forms for admission to BSIT, MSIT, MIT, PGDIT, BS Software Engineering, M.Sc E-Commerce and M.Sc Multimedia Technology at the Institute of Information Technology can be submitted up to Jan 20 and for admission to M.A English, the forms can be submitted up to Jan 31.

Meanwhile, the registrar, University of Sindh, said the last date for submitting forms for admission to LLB Part-I, II and III in law colleges, affiliated with the university, had been fixed at March 31.
