ISLAMABAD, Dec 24: The former prime minister and leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Mian Mohammed Nawaz Sharif, has asked the nation to adhere to the democratic traditions and principles.

In a message on the birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam, he said the entire nation should rise to defend basic rights of the citizens, and to restore supremacy of the Constitution and Parliament.

Paying glowing tributes to the heroic leadership of Quaid-i- Azam for the creation of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif said that father of the nation achieved his objective through democratic struggle.

Pakistan’s existence also depends on following the democratic traditions, he added.
