4 highwaymen arrested

TOBA TEK SINGH, Dec 24: Four alleged highwaymen were arrested on Monday night who had robbed the passengers of a bus near Chak 414-JB.

They had created hurdles on Dullam-Gojra road. When a Lahore-bound bus stopped there, they entered the bus. They looted cash, gold ornaments, wrist watches and other valuables from the passengers. They also beat up passengers who put up resistance and disappeared in nearby fields along with the loot.

Parties of Nawan Lahore, Gojra Sadar and city police stations arrived there and cordoned of the area near Chak 349-JB.

The dacoits surrendered before police. They are Tariq, Boota, Ghaffar alias Billa and Tariq Mahmood.
