Politicking for Senate seat in full swing

By Our Correspondent

ABBOTTABAD, Dec 24: Manoeuvring for the Senate seat is in full swing in the Abbottabad district and the role of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q legislators in the NWFP Assembly has become utmost important, as seven out of the nine PML-Q lawmakers are from the Hazara division.

Former DG of the health services, Dr A. J. Khan, and Sardar Azam advocate are the main aspirants for the Senate seat.

The PML-Q parliamentarians from the area are of the view that it is their right to nominate the candidate. They claim the party was nearly eliminated from the province except the Hazara division from where four MNAs and seven MPAs were elected on the party ticket.
