PM felicitates Christians

ISLAMABAD, Dec 24: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali extended greetings to the Christians on the occasion of Christmas.

In his message on the occasion the prime minister said:

“On the auspicious occasion of Christmas today, I extend heartiest greetings and felicitations to my Christian brethren all over the world, particularly in Pakistan. I wish them all, happiness and prosperity.

“While wishing happy Christmas, I would like to reiterate that the rights and privileges of the minorities, as enshrined in our Constitution, will be fully protected.

“Islam enjoins upon its followers to regard the life, property and honour of non-Muslims equally sacred.

“I take this opportunity to compliment the Christian community in Pakistan for their patriotism and devoted services to the country. I wish them many happy returns of the day.” —APP
