LONDON, Dec 23: Britain welcomed on Monday Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali’s pledge to continue Pakistan’s support in war against terrorism.

“We welcome commitment to support international action against terrorism,” British Foreign Office spokesman told APP on Monday.

Prime Minister Jamali, after his election as the leader of the House of the National Assembly, had announced to continue President Musharraf’s decision to back the war against terrorism.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Tony Blair has sent a message of congratulation to Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on his assumption of office, confirmed the foreign office spokesman on Monday.—APP
