Man shoots himself to death
RAWALPINDI, Dec 23: A man shot himself to death in a plaza on Murree Road, while a girl tried to commit suicide in Pirwadhai on Monday.
Mazhar Hassan, a computer technician, went to the toilet of his shop in Dubai Plaza and locked it from inside, the police quoted Amjad Bashir, a colleague of the deceased, as saying.
Amjad Bashir said he rushed to the toilet after hearing a gunshot from inside. When the police broke open the door, they found Mazhar lying in a pool of blood with a pistol beside him, Amjad said.
The police said neither any suicide note was found from his custody nor his family gave any reason which led him to commit suicide. The body was handed over to the family after paperwork.
In the second incident, a girl, Shazia Pervez, tried to commit suicide by taking an overdose of medicine after she had a fight with her brother in Fauji Colony, Pirwadhai, the police said.
