KARACHI: Three held, Liquor seized

KARACHI, Dec 23: The excise police, South Karachi, have arrested three alleged drug peddlers and seized 330 bottles of locally- made liquor with a Suzuki pickup (KH-9718).

According to the Excise Department on information received by an ETO, a team of the excise police carried out a raid in Christian Mohallah, Ranchhore Lane, and arrested Mohammed Hafiz, Sajid Hussain and Jerry, and seized 330 bottles of liquor from them.

The suspects used to supply liquor to their customers in the Suzuki pickup which was seized. One of those arrested, Sajid Hussain, is stated to be a police constable.

A case has been registered against them and further investigation is in progress.—APP
