KARACHI: Private schools’ registration

KARACHI, Dec 23: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan has taken a strict notice of reports that some so-called organizations have been collecting Rs1,000 from private schools in the name of registration or renewal of registration on behalf of the city government.

In a statement on Monday he said applications for registration/renewal of registration of private schools coming through any organization should not be considered as such registrations would not be acceptable.

The Nazim asked the managements of private schools not to give any money to any organization for such a purposes.

He pointed out that every school was authorized to move an application to the EDO (education) for registration and action would be taken on it in accordance with law. If the school fulfils the requirements then the registration process would be completed promptly and without any difficulty, he added.—APP
