LAHORE, Dec 22: Pakistan Awami Tehrik’s chairman Tahirul Qadri has said that the prime responsibility of the present government is to ensure protection of national sovereignty and integrity and eradicate all possibilities that can endanger the sovereignty and honour of the country.

In a press statement, he said that courageous steps were needed to reach a consensus on matters of national importance. Commenting on the decision of the OIC to appoint Pakistan as its representative in UN, he said that it was a rare honour bestowed on Pakistan.

At a time when conspiracies are afoot to get Muslim countries declared as terrorist states, high responsibility rests with the Pakistani government to present their case in the best possible manner to counter the vicious propaganda against them.
