KARACHI: Body of third blast victim handed over to family

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Dec 22: The body of the third victim of Thursday’s explosion in Korangi was handed over to the victim’s family on Sunday for burial.

Edhi and police sources said Mohammed Ahmed, father, and Nasir Abbas, brother, of victim Nadeem Abbas, arrived at the Edhi’s morgue in the afternoon and received the remains of Nadeem Abbas. They took the remains to Jacob Lines where funeral prayers were offered. Later Nadeem was buried in a local graveyard.

Mutilated bodies of possibly four men were found in the rubble after a powerful explosion at a house in Allahwala Town in sector 31-B of Korangi around 9:45 am on Thursday. Three of them have been identified as Nadeem Abbas, a constable of the Anti-corruption Establishment and an activist of the banned Sipah-i-Sahaba Pakistan, Asif Ramzi, leader of his own group and affiliated with the banned Lashkar-i-Jhangvi, and Amir Memon, a resident of Kharadar.

The remains of Asif Ramzi and Amir Memon had been handed over to their families on Saturday.
