ISLAMABAD, Dec 18: The government is making every effort to facilitate investment in Pakistan by the Azerbaijani entrepreneurs and investors.

This was stated by Federal Minister for Industries and Production Liaquat Ali Jatoi in a meeting with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, Dr. Eynulla Y. Madatli who called on the minister here on Wednesday.

The minister also discussed with him the working of Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) formed between the governments of Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

The JMC had its first meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan in 2000 and the second one in September this year in Islamabad. The minister stressed the follow up of the decisions taken by JMC in both of its meetings.

Jatoi assured the ambassador that the government is making every effort to promote trade and investment linkages between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

He said his ministry is facilitating the visits of the trade delegations between the two countries.—APP
