National cycling from Feb 1

LAHORE, Dec 17: The 52nd national cycling championship will be held here during Feb 1-5 to five at cycling velodrome.

Wapda will defend the title in the five-day premier national activity, said Idrees Haider Khawaja, secretary, Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) told APP Tuesday.

He said top riders belonging to all affiliated units of the PCF will be displaying their talent in various track and road events.

PESHAWAR-KOHAT RACE

PESHAWAR: The NWFP Amateur Cycling Association (NWFPACA) will organise Peshawar-Kohat Cycle Race on Dec 19 to select teams for the forthcoming Hill Championship Cycle Race from Rawalpindi to Murree.

He said Peshawar-Kohat race will be started in the morning at 9.00 a.m from Ring Road and the final squad will be announced on Dec 21. The team will leave for Rawalpindi on Dec 24.—APP
