QUETTA, Dec 17: Chief Minister Jam Mohammed Yousaf has said that legislation is the prime responsibility of the political assembly.
Talking to a delegation of the Balochistan High Court Bar Association, led by its president Amanullah Kanrani, on Tuesday, the chief minister said that the Bar and senior lawyers should provide guidance to the government in the legislation process and legal issues. The provincial government would welcome their guidance, he added.
The supremacy of law and its implementation was among the government’s top priorities, he said and added that they were aware of the responsibilities. “Legislation is the prime responsibility of the assembly,” he said.
Mr Yousaf said that his government believed in merit would implement it without any compromise.
The chief minister assured the delegation that their problems would solved amicably and directed the official concern to provide land for the construction of a Barroom in the border town of Chaman.
Meanwhile, speaking to the district Nazims, Mr Yousaf said that the local government system facilitated the parliamentary system and the provincial government would extend support for running it successfully.
The chief minister asked them to help the government maintain law and order.
