Dolphins and KESC in final

KARACHI, Dec 16: Baqai Dolphins and Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) Monday qualified to play the final of the KBCA-Beautiful Karachi festival tournament on Tuesday after defeating their opponents at UBL Sports Complex Ground on Monday.

Baqai Dolphins beat Dewan Sugar Mills by seven wickets while KESC defeated KPT by six wickets.

Dewan Sugar Mills batting first made 166 runs in 25 overs. Wasaat Hussain top scored with 61, Atif Maqbook (3-32) was the most successful bowler for the Dolphins.

Baqai Dolphin’s with Mohmmad Imran (91) in dazzling form reached the target for the loss of three wickets.

KPT batting first were all out for 120 in 14.5 overs. Ariz Kamal 30, Iqbal Shaikh 24 and Rashid Hanif 23 scored the bulk of runs. Jaffar Qureshi was pick of the bowlers for KESC claiming three wickets for 19 runs.

KESC achieved the target of 121 for the loss of four wickets in 18.4 overs. M.Farooque (32), Tariq Haroon (31), Agha Sabir (23) and Mansoor Khan (17) batted well for the winners.—APP
