One dies, three injured in Indian firing

GILGIT, Dec 16: A man was killed and four others were injured by the Indian shelling at Peon sector in Baltistan district along the Line of Control.

Ali, who was died, had come home on vacation from Saudi Arabia where he was working in a private firm.

Two girls, Tahira and Shahida, among the injured were stated to be in serious condition.

Some local councilors and their advisers inquired into the health of the injured people at a local hospital and condemned the unprovoked Indian shelling.

DRIVE: The power division of the Northern Areas Public Works Department (NAPWD) has constituted a task force to launch a campaign against the electricity theft and illegal connections in areas.

The superintendent engineer of the NAPWD, Ali Aman Shah, at a press conference here, announced that in order to reduce electricity crisis in the city, they had planned to launch a drive against the illegal connections and additional connections would be snapped.
