HYDERABAD: Nepotism in Hesco jobs flayed

By Our Correspondent

HYDERABAD, Dec 16: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has criticized nepotism in new appointments of the Hesco.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, MNA Prof Khalid Wahab said that this would create a sense of deprivation among the youth.

Criticizing the bureaucracy for what he termed prolonging the status quo to maintain its stranglehold on the affairs of the state, he said that it seemed that nepotism was being legalised.

Prof Wahab said that advertisements for recruitments were routinely published in dummy newspapers thus depriving the people of the opportunity to submit applications for the vacant posts on time.

In another statement, Prof Khalid Wahab criticized the Hyderabad city council for inefficiency and expressed concern about the accumulation of dirty water on main roads and shopping centres.

ZARDARI CASE: The District and Sessions Judge, Hyderabad, here on Saturday informed the Sindh High Court that the Alam Baloch murder case against Asif Ali Zardari and others was not being proceeded inside the Karachi Central Jail for want of arrangements.

The hearing about a supplementary charge-sheet in the double murder case was fixed for Saturday at the camp office in the Karachi Central Jail but the matter did not progress and was adjourned to Feb 8.
