Mahar faces Khuhro in run for CM

KARACHI, Dec 15: The election of the Sindh chief minister will take place on Monday afternoon for which Governor Mohammedmian Soomro has summoned the provincial assembly’s session.

According to the schedule, the nomination papers for the chief ministership will be received till 10am. Scrutiny of the papers will be held at 11am.

The election will be held at 12 noon through a division of the House. Nisar Khuhro has been fielded jointly by the People’s Party Parliamentarians and the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal.

The ruling coalition of the PML-Q, Muttahida Qaumi Movement, the PML-F, the National Alliance and the GNA have already nominated Ali Mohammad Mahar as their candidate for the slot.
