KOHAT, Dec 15: All the 18 degree and post-graduate colleges of Kohat, Karak and Hangu districts have been affiliated with the information technology university Kohat which will conduct the Bachelors’ and Masters’ degree examinations from the next academic year.

This was told a press conference by the vice-chancellor of the university, Doctor Khalid Masood Niazi.

He informed the newsmen that the first batch of 170 graduates had successfully passed out from the institution, and 751 fresh students had been admitted to various faculties, which, he said, was a big achievement for the new university.

The vice-chancellor claimed that the institution was capable of imparting education in all modern computer disciplines and claimed that the graduates of the IT university Kohat could compete with any student of the world.

He said that from the next year the university would conduct examinations of BA, BSc, BEd, MEd, MSc, MA, BCom for both regular and private candidates of the three districts of the division, for which a separate examination centre had been established

Administrator of the IT University, Maj Najmul Hassan, said the boarding and lodging problems had also been resolved immediately for the students of the far flung areas.
