Khalid guides Zone-IV to victory

KARACHI, Dec 14: A brilliant century by Khalid Latif helped KCCA Zone-IV to beat Zone-1 by 27 runs in the KCCA Inter-zonal cricket tournament match played at Quaid- i-Azam Park of Pakistan Steel Town on Friday.

Khalid Latif’s 108 included 13 boundaries and three sixes. Nasir Aziz (83) another batsman of the side was unlucky to reach the three figure.

Left arm spinner Akhtar Hussain scalped six batsmen for 55.

In another match played at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium Zone-III beat Zone-VII by 22 runs.

M. Zafar played the sheet achore role for victory of his team with scoring 85 run including nine fours and a six.

In the last match of the day Zone-VI achieved three wickets victory against Zone-V thanks to fine allround performance by Rizwan Qureshi.
