KARACHI: Recarpeting of road begins

KARACHI, Dec 14: The Saddar Town administration on Saturday began work on recarpeting of Chandbibi Road, which will complete in two months.

Work on the project, which will cost Rs1.736 million, started at Nanakwarah in Union Council 5 and it will cover 88,000 square- feet of the road and nearly 24,000 square-feet of footpath.

The project is part of the Town’s programme to improve road network and provide better civic facilities to the people and it was inaugurated by Town Nazim Farooq Fariya at a function organized to mark the occasion.

The Town Nazim said that the municipal administration was giving special attention to improve the general living condition of people by providing them basic amenities.

He said the administration would utilize all resources to undertake development schemes, particularly road improvement work, in the area.
