PP-103 byelection schedule

GUJRANWALA, Dec 11: The Election Commission on Wednesday announced the byelection schedule for the provincial assembly seat PP-103, Wazirabad.

The last date for submitting nomination papers has been fixed Dec 14 while the scrutiny will be held between Dec 15 and Dec 18.

The appeals against the rejection of nomination papers will be heard on Dec 26. The aspirants could withdraw their papers by Dec 27 while final list will be displayed on Dec 28. The byelections will be held on Jan 15, 2003.

PML-J chief Chaudhry Hamid Nasir Chattha had vacated this provincial assembly seat. Now the PML-J has allotted the ticket to Akmal Saif Chattha, the son of ex-MPA Chaudhry Saif Ali Chattha.— Correspondent
