KARACHI: Two men shot dead

KARACHI, Dec 11: Two young men were shot dead in the city on Wednesday.

A doctor was shot dead by his former brother-in-law at Keamari in the morning.

Police said that the assailant fired two shots on Dr Irshad Khanzada, aged 30, at Keamari No 1 bus stop on M. A. Jinnah Road.

Later, the assailant, Rizwan Ikram, surrendered himself to police.

Dr Khanzada’s body was sent to Civil Hospital for post-mortem.

Police said that Dr Khanzada had divorced Rizwan’s sister and was to get married again on Dec 22.

A young man was shot dead in Mochko police limits in the morning.

Police said that Khair Mohammed, aged 20, was shot dead by unidentified men on a street leading to the shrine of Qasim Shah. Khair Mohammed’s cousin Sharif lodged an FIR at Mochko police station against unknown persons.

The body was sent to Civil Hospital for postmortem.

Police failed to ascertain the motive behind the killing.
