PM vows to live up to people’s expectations

ISLAMABAD, Dec 10: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali said on Tuesday that people had high expectations from the new government, and expressed the confidence that “we shall live up to their expectations.”

Presiding over the cabinet meeting, the prime minister said: “We have faith in Allah and we have allegiance and commitment to Pakistan, and it is our duty to live up to the trust reposed in us”.

Mr Jamali observed: “I cannot deliver alone. We shall work together as a team, helping and supporting each other. We shall govern through consultation and consensus”.

He said his only concern and priority was Pakistan, which takes precedence over all other loyalties and associations.

“We shall make the best use of the time available to us: we shall offer our best to this cabinet for the sake of the people of Pakistan,” he maintained. “I shall always take you into confidence. Ours will be a collective decision-making,” he declared.—APP
