Trio on goal rampage

LAHORE, Dec 10: Four goals by Shah Shamyl Alam and three each by Syed Hassan Raza Gillani and Aurangzeb Monoo helped Lahori Knight thrash Millennium Bug 10-4 1/2 in the December Cup Polo Tournament Tuesday.

Millennium Bug with 2 1/2 goals on handicap, could not hold off the powerful attacks of Shamyl, Hassan and Aurangzeb all of whom displayed remarkable form to share the scoring honours among them.

For the losers, Zahid Jan and Sheikh Ayaz scored a goal each.

Shamyl struck back to back goals in the first chukker but Zahid Jan helped Millennium Bug to come out with a 3 1/2-2 lead at the end of the first chukker.

Lahori Knight dominated the remaining chukkers scoring two goals in the second and three each in the third and fourth to totally outclass their rivals.

Earlier, Thuraya defeated Dew Drops 6-3.

Sufi Amir and Ashfaq banged home two goals each while Sufi Haris and Azhar Ali contributed a goal each for the winners.

For the losers, Irfan Ali Hyder fired two goals while Raja Sattar added a goal.
