KARACHI, Dec 10: After a splendid victory only four days ago under jockey Dilshad, the eight-year-old bay gelding Love Land starts off as our day’s best, when the Winter Gymkhana Race Meeting begins on Wednesday at the Karachi Racecourse.

Running in the sixth event, Love Land however, will have to be at his best in overcoming the likes of Golden Voice and Aziz Love, not to mention the chestnut horse Ray Of Light.

Six events have been chalked out for the afternoon’s programme all going over the sprinting distance of five furlongs. The first race begins at 1.00 p.m.

Another runner that should not lose on Wednesday, is the dark bay gelding Sajan Black, also a fluent winner under M. Nasir on Sunday going over the same distance.

Sajan Black will be challenged by the thoroughbred chestnut horse Reincarnated and the bay filly Superb Star.

The first race of the afternoon in which 10 runners will be vying for the top honours, should belong to owner Syed Ali Ghour Shah who has five of his charges in this race.

However of the lot, our column will go for Darbari Malang to win this race, with The Messenger and Abr-e-Noor in close pursuit.

In the second event, Ali Ghour Shah should have another winner through his bay filly Royal Beauty with Gharnata grabbing the second spot. Another eight-year-old chestnut gelding Reasonable, should pick up the spoils from Sachin and Striker in the following event.
