ISLAMABAD, Dec 9: President Gen Pervez Musharraf has appointed five dignitaries as honorary members of the National Commission for Human Development.

According to the cabinet division’s notification issued here on Monday, the president in pursuance of section 3(4) of NCHD Ordinance 2002 has appointed Shahnaz Wazir Ali, executive director, Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy, Islamabad; Dr Mushtaq A. Khan, director, Centre for Research on Poverty Reduction and Income Distribution, Islamabad; Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, ex- minister for finance, planning and development, Government of Sindh, Karachi; Roshan Khursheed Bharucha, ex-provincial minister for social welfare, Government of Balochistan, Quetta and Javed S. Malik, additional finance secretary (Budget), Ministry of Finance (representative of finance division) as members of NCHD on honorary basis.—APP
