US policy criticized
BEIJING, Dec 8: Sino-Pakistan strategic relations and China’s policy of non-interference have greatly helped promote peace and stability in South Asia.
This was stated by Dr Shireen Mazari, Director-General of Pakistan Institute of Strategic Studies, while talking to APP in Beijing on Friday.
Dr Mazari, who was here to attend an international seminar on security concerns in Asia, said the people of Pakistan cherished their relations with China.
She also lauded the Chin’s Foreign policy, which is based on principles of peaceful co-existence, non-aggression and non-interference in each other’s internal affairs.
The seminar was arranged to evaluate security concerns and developments in South Asia. Scholars from China, Russia, Japan, North Korea, the US, France, India and Thailand attended the seminar.
Dr Shireen Mazari in her paper analysed USA’s security doctrine and its implications in South Asia. She said the policy of interference in the domestic affairs of other countries had damaged the sovereign status of other countries.
She emphasized that the world community should promote mutual respect and tolerance to ensure peace and development at all levels.
