Edhi’s son injured

KARACHI, Dec 3: Faisal Edhi, son of noted social worker Maulana Abdul Sattar Edhi, received bullet injury here on Tuesday night.

Medico-legal officer of the Civil Hospital Dr Mohammad Saleem said that Faisal Edhi was brought to the Civil Hospital at around 10pm with a bullet injury in his left leg.

After the treatment, Faisal returned with his brother Rizwan Edhi, who had brought him to the hospital. Dr Saleem said that he had made a medico legal certificate No 5756 / 02 about the incident.

Responding to Dawn queries, Rizwan Edhi confirmed the firing incident and said that Faisal was cleaning his TT pistol and he did not know that there was a bullet in the pistol’s chamber. During the cleaning, the pistol went off and the bullet pierced through Faisal’s left leg near knee-cap.
