QUETTA, Dec 3: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has said that the federal government would not create any hurdle in the way of majority group for the formation of government in Sindh.

“The majority party would be given due opportunity to from its government in Sindh,” Jamali said while speaking to a delegation of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal in Rojhan Jamali on Tuesday.

The delegation, led by MMA provincial leader Maulana Mohammad Khan Sherani, visited the native village of the prime minister to condole the death of his nephew Nusrat Ali Jamali.

The prime minister said that different group and parties were holding negotiations for formation of government in Sindh.

He denied that the federal government was interfering or creating hurdles in the formation of majority party’s government in Sindh.

Referring to the MMA-PML-Q coalition government in Balochistan, the prime minister said that the government was formed in the larger interest of the province and it would work for its development.

He assured the provincial leadership of MMA that they would be consulted for resolution of problems being faced by the province.

“I am thankful to the MMA for extending support to PML-Q for the formation of a coalition government in Balochistan,” Jamali said and added that the federal government would extend cooperation to the provincial government in resolving the problems being faced by the people of this backward province. He told the MMA leaders that he would visit Quetta after Eid and hold consultations with them about the problems being faced by the province. He assured the delegation that the MMA would be taken into confidence before taking important decisions.

Referring to 1973 Constitution, Jamali said that the MMA’s reservations regarding amendments to the Constitution would be discussed in parliament and efforts would be made to satisfy them.

The delegation offered Fateha and prayed for the departed soul.

Meanwhile, a minority delegation from Sindh led by MNA Ramesh Lal visited Rojhan Jamali and condoled the death of Nusrat Jamali with the prime minister.
