LAHORE, Dec 3: The PML-Q is expecting 14 Senate seats from the Punjab in the forthcoming elections for the upper house of parliament.

It may get one more seat with the help of the members of forward bloc and allied parties.

The party is going to launch a reorganizational programme after Eid.

Provincial secretary-general Arshad Lodhi will head the programme.

Joint secretary Chaudhry Shaukat Abbas was also present.

Lodhi told reporters on Tuesday that no proposal was under consideration to separate the party and government offices.

He said a resolution passed by some members of the central organization had not been adopted by the Punjab organization. Thus, he said, the holders would be allowed to simultaneously retain their party and government offices.
