Aisam to attend programme in France


LAHORE, Dec 2: Pakistan tennis ace, Aisam ul Haq, will attend ATP Universities Players Development Programme being held in Monte Carlo, France from Dec 8-11.

Association of Tennis Players (ATP) has chosen Aisam to represent Pakistan in the programme which aims at grooming tennis players in various fields besides highlighting aims and objectives of the ATP.

Aisam is the first ever Pakistani tennis players to attend this programme.

He told APP Monday that the participants would be taught development in communications skills, tennis history and various development programme launched by the ATP for the welfare of players after the retirement of players.

“It would be a very beneficial programme and would help in knowing more about ATP and its activities for the development of tennis,” he said.

Aisam,is on a lay off, after recovering from appendix trouble for which he underwent surgery last month.

He will be resuming ATP tennis circuit in the last week of December.—APP
