10 die in collision

ATTOCK, Nov 30: At least 10 persons, including four women and two children, were killed and six seriously injured in an accident near Attock Khurd on Grand Trunk Road on Saturday.

Police said a Mansehra-bound coach (Peshawar C-1793) coming from Peshawar collided with a speeding bus (RPT 5410) coming from the opposite direction near Ziarat Hazrat Baba.

Khyal Zaree, her daughters, Khuvancha and a baby; son Lal Khan; coach driver Sajjad, Mehfouz Khan, Ajab Khan and four unknown passengers died on the spot. Zarif Khan, Taza Gull, Sharful Shah and Akber Khan sustained serious injuries and were taken to the Attock district headquarters hospital. Their condition is stated to be serious.

Eyewitnesses told newsmen that the bus driver had fled.
