HYDERABAD, Nov 30: The leaders of the PPP, Hyderabad district, have said Defence Minister Rao Sikandar Iqbal and Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat should use their influence to get cases against Benazir Bhutto and Asif Ali Zardari withdrawn and ensure safe return of Ms Bhutto.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Saturday, general secretary, PPP, Hyderabad district, Mohammad Amin Lakho, and others said if the ministers could not ensure the withdrawal of the cases and the return of Ms Bhutto in one month, activists of the party would launch a protest movement against them.

They said Iqbal and Hayat had betrayed the party and Ms Bhutto by forming the forward bloc.

STRIKE CALL: The Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association, Hyderabad and Sukkur regions, has called for strike on Dec 2 to protest against the sacking of seven college teachers of Punjab.
