Dr Niazi’s Qul held

ISLAMABAD, Nov 29 : The Qul ceremony of noted dental surgeon Dr Zafar Niazi was held at his residence here on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. After Quran Khawani collective “Dua” was also offered for the deceased.

Dr Niazi, 72, died of heart attack on Tuesday at his home town Mianwali and was buried at Islamabad graveyard on Wednesday.

A large number of people including women belonging to different walks of life were there to offer their condolences to the family members of the deceased. His son Sultan Qamar, who is in the United States, could not come to Islamabad due to some procedural difficulties in travel. Among those who attended the Qul were former chairman Senate Wasim Sajjad, former ministers Ihsan Paracha, Anwar Saifullah, Usman Aminuddin, Saleem Saifullah, Special Advisor to President for Science and Technology Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, former defence secretary Gen. Rahim (retired) and Farhatullah Babar.
