LAHORE, Nov 28: Punjab Transport Minister Muhammad Tariq has said the transporters plying CNG buses in big cities will be allowed special concessions.
He was speaking at a meeting of the Provincial Bids Evaluation Committee here on Thursday to examine the offers of private transporters for plying franchised buses in Gujranwala and Sialkot.
The minister said the government wanted to replace the rashly-driven wagons in the big cities by comfortable airconditioned and non-airconditioned buses for the welfare of the travelling public.
He said the companies operating the CNG buses would be offered more concessions as compared to the ones plying the non-airconditioned buses.
