JAC protest continues

LAHORE, Nov 28: Teachers and students under the banner of the Joint Action Committee continued their protest on Thursday against board of governors and the Model University Ordinance, besides sacking of teachers.

In the city, protest demonstrations were held outside the MAO College, Shalamar College, Dyal Singh College, Government College for Education, Lower Mall, Islamia College Civil Lines and Islamia College Railway Road.

FC College students and teachers staged a rally in front of Pervaiz Elahi’s residence in Gulberg.

Meanwhile, JAC leaders Nazim Hasnain, Dr Yasmin Rashid and Naveed Anwar said if chief minister-designate Pervaiz Elahi did not honour his promises to them, they would stage a sit-in in front of the Assembly Hall on Dec 11.
