Nine killed in road accident

SIALKOT, Nov 27: Nine persons were killed and 14 others were seriously injured in a road accident on the main Daska-Motra- Sialkot Road near Imam Bukhari International Islamic University in Daska tehsil on Wednesday morning.

A bus (Peshawar-C, 2757) was headed for Lahore from Sialkot when it collided with a van (LHP-3542), killing eight passengers on the spot and injuring 15 others.

Those killed are: Amanat Ali, Samiullah, Zahid Mahmood, Muhammad Imran, Sadiq Husain, Javaid Masih and Haji Karamat Ejaz Ahmad.

Ten of the 14 injured are: Shamas Din, Nasir Husain, Tanvir, Abdul Razzaq, Muhammad Anwar, Javaid Salamat, Tahir Cheema, Abdul Rashid, Mohammad Iqbal and Mohammad Sadiq were taken to THQ Hospital, Daska, from where they were shifted to the General Hospital, Lahore.
