3 Sri Saral villagers declared POs

By Our Reporter

RAWALPINDI, Nov 27: The anti-terrorist court No. 2 judge, Safdar Hussain Malik, on Wednesday declared three persons as proclaimed offenders for not appearing before the court.

The accused, Kala Khan, Zulfiqar and Karam Elahi, residents of Sri Saral, had also been denied bails by the Lahore High Court.

The judge also issued perpetual arrest warrants against the accused.

The accused were among 25 persons, who had been booked by Golra police during a clash with the officials of the Capital Development Authority and police for allegedly disturbing public order and committing terrorism.

PETITION REJECTED: The same court also rejected petition of an alleged murderer, in which the later had challenged the jurisdiction of the court.

Babar, who was accused of running his vehicle over a police official, had challenged the jurisdiction of the court.

But the prosecutor, Abdul Hai Alvi, contended that the accused had committed terrorism by killing the sub-inspector, Ameer, who was still on his duty.
