HYDERABAD, Nov 27: The DCO has directed authorities of the HDA to conduct a survey of water supply lines in the district so that defective lines can be replaced under the greater water supply and sewerage project.
The DCO, Mir Hussain Ali, was presiding over a meeting held at his office here on Tuesday.
Referring to complaints made by representatives of talukas and the district council regarding shortage of clean water in various areas, the DCO asked the HDA director general to increase the supply of filtered water.
He also asked the taluka municipal administrations to prepare development schemes, specially pertaining to water supply and drainage systems.
He said mega projects would also be prepared by the HDA and the public health engineering department.
He urged people of the area to cooperate with the HDA and pay water charges so that they could be provided with better services.
The DCO, at another meeting, directed the director general of the HDA, Shaheer Ahmad Junejo, to prepare a plan for the beautification of the Thandi Sarak in Hyderabad.
