By Our Correspondent

SAHIWAL, Nov 25: Three constables on guard duty sustained bullet injuries, one of them serious, when an accused opened fire on them at the judicial lockup of district courts here on Monday.

Ansar Shah and Yousaf Oad were brought from the Central Jail for their production before a court. As the guards opened the gate of the judicial lockup, Yousaf in a bid to escape opened fire with a pistol given to him by his relative woman who had come to see him. As a result, constables Muhammad Younas, Riasat Ali and Manzoor Husain received serious injuries. However, both the fleeing outlaws were caught by other policemen.
