KARACHI: Production of Asif in court ordered


KARACHI, Nov 25: Munir A. Khawaja, judge of the Federal Anti-corruption Court, Central II, issued on Monday orders for the production of Asif Ali Zardari in the court.

The accused has been facing trial before the court in the container case since 1996. When the case was called, the accused was not present on which the judge issued orders for his production in the court on Dec 12 through the home secretary, Sindh.

According to the prosecution, artifacts and other expensive items worth millions of rupees were shipped from Karachi to the UK. destined for Surrey Palace allegedly owned by Asif Zardari and his wife, Benazir Bhutto, former prime minister.—APP
