Nisar’s late goal ends stalemate

KARACHI, Nov 23: Nisar Khan’s late second half effort guided Hameed Khan XI to a thrilling 3-2 win over Zubair XI in the Champions Trophy hockey tournament at UBL Sports Complex Saturday.

Zubair XI’s Izhar Ahmad slammed home the first in the 13th minute, while Aijaz doubled the lead in the 20th minute.

Hameed Khan XI came from behind to score their first in the 33rd minute when Adeel Hussain found the target off a penalty corner rebound. Adeel then equalised ten minutes later.

Nisar found the cage in the 57th minute to help his side win the game.
