SUKKUR, Nov 23: Two engineers of the Siemens Company, who were kidnapped by a group of outlaws last week from Salehpat, were recovered by the police on Saturday.

AIG Nayyar Husnain, speaking during a press conference, produced both the recovered engineers before the newsmen.

The engineers told the newsmen that no ransom had been paid for their release.

The AIG said that all the five kidnappers had been identified and two of them have been arrested.

The bandits, who have been identified included Gullo Lund, Akber Lund and Mouloo Lund. Gullo Lund is a proclaimed offender, with a substantial amount in terms of bounty offered for his arrest.

Knowledgeable sources said that the newly-sworn State Minister Khalid Lund had helped the police in securing the release of the hostages, identified as Syed Adnan Naeem and Muhammad Siddiq.

They said that the top bosses of their company had also met with Pir Pagaro who also helped in this regard. They claimed that the kidnappers had demanded Rs10 million for their release.

The outlaws, they said, had severely beaten them up during their captivity, adding that the outlaws had asked them to write a letter urging their bosses to pay them the ransom money.

They said that they had threatened them of killing them if they did not do what was asked of them.

They said that the bandits had kept them chained and used to blindfold them while changing their hideouts.

They said that they had fled their newest hideout leaving them behind.

The AIG said that the DPO, Din Mohammad Baloch and others, involved in securing the hostages release, would be rewarded for their hard work.

Two kidnapped: Two Kosh tribesmen were kidnapped on Saturday by a group of armed persons belonging to the Shar tribe from Tarat Belo near Daharki.

Sources said that the kidnapping was in retaliation of the clash on Friday in which two Shar tribesmen had been killed.

Those, who have been kidnapped, are Shero Kosh and Rajo Kosh.

Bangal Kosh, a relative of the kidnapped persons, told newsmen in Daharki that he feared that both of the hostages might already have been killed.

Meanwhile, an encounter occurred between outlaws from Balochistan and the police in RD-92 Bahoo Khoso in Jacobabad district on Saturday evening. The police have recovered Sharfuddin, 18, son of Allah Waraio Channa, who was kidnapped on Nov 5.

Sources said that the outlaws had attacked police mobiles in a bid to kill the DSP, Thul Masroor Ahmed Jatoi, and the SHO, Bahoo Khoso.
