Blues in final on goal average

LAHORE, Nov 21: Travel Quest Blues entered the final of the Chrysanthemum Cup polo tournament on better goal average after three matches were played between three teams on league basis at the Lahore Polo Club ground Thursday.

Blues secured a goal average of seven while Travel Quest whites had five. Master Paints had the average of 5 1/2.

In the first match, Whites and Master Paints drew 2-2. Ali Riaz and Atif Yar Tiwana scored a goal each for Whites.

Jamal Iftikhar and Ashfaq scored a goal apiece for Master Paints.

Blues defeated Master Paints 5-3 1/2 in the second match. Yaqoob scored three goals while Samee Ibrahim two for the winners.

For Master Paints, Ashfaq scored two goals while Hassan Raza Gillani contributed a goal. They had half a goal as handicap.

In the third match, Whites won by a narrow margin 3-2 against its Blues side.

Atif Yar Tiwana scored all the three goals for Whites. Samee Ibrahim and Yaqoob netted a goal each for Blues.
