KARACHI: CNS visits alma mater

KARACHI, Nov 21: The Happy Home Secondary School has held a reception for its alumnus Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Shahid Karimullah.

The newly-appointed CNS visited his alma mater and met prominent citizens and distinguished ex-students of the school. He presented a model of the new PN submarine Agosta to the school.

The CNS, who was moved by his visit to the school, lauded the school’s history, its outstanding record of academic achievement and encouraged students and staff members in continuing their hard work.

The school was founded by Maryum Faruqi, daughter of Sir Ebrahim Haroon Jaffer, in 1949. She also spoke at the reception and recalled the tremendous achievements of old students of the school and their continuing support to the institution.

In her welcome address, the principal of the school, Ghazala Nizami, apprised the audience about the academic and professional achievements of Admiral Karimullah. She said the CNS was the most distinguished alumnus of the school in the forces.
