Kamran slams century

KARACHI, Nov 19: Left-handed opening batsman Kamran Hussain lashed an unbeaten 106 off only 58 deliveries as Asghar Ali Shah CC thrashed Afzal Sports by nine wickets in the Aga Khan Gymkhana Ramazan Cricket Tournament at AKG Ground here Tuesday.

Man-of-the-Match Kamran, who shared a first wicket stand of 91 with Asif Mughal (24), blasted 12 boundaries and one six.

Turab Hussain, Kamran’s brother, finished with 23 in the unbroken second wicket partnership of 70 as Asghar Ali Shah CC reached 161 for one in 21 overs.

Afzal Sports, who elected to bat first, were all out for 160 in 22.3 overs with Mahmood-ul-Hasan top-scoring with 39.

Turab Hussain claimed three for 18 while fellow off-spinner Asif Mughal chipped in with two for 24.
