BAHAWALPUR, Nov 17: The local juvenile jail is being vacated due to its dilapidated condition.
Its inmates belonging to upper Punjab areas will be shifted to Faisalabad’s children jail. However, the prisoners belonging to Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahimyar Khan districts will be shifted to new Central Jail, Bahawalpur.
It is learnt that the shifting of inmates is likely to start on Monday.
JAIL TERM: A division bench of the Lahore High Court, Bahawalpur bench, has reduced by three years the jail term of four convicts — food inspectors Allah Bakhsh, Naeem Pehalwan, Robina Warraich and Tariq Abdullah — involved in a Rs60 million fraud case.
