Arrangements made for re-polling

CHAMAN, Nov 17: Security arrangements have been made to ensure peaceful conduct of re-polling in 17 polling stations of NA-262 and 14 of PB-13, Killa Abdullah.

Contingents of Pishin Scouts, police and levies have been dispatched to the areas.

A tough contest is expected between Pakhtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party Chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal candidate Maulana Mohammed Haneef for the National Assembly seat.

For the provincial assembly’s seat, PMAP candidate Mohammed Naeem Tiryalai and Ghulam Sarwar Achakzai of Awami National Party are the main contenders.

Re-polling has been ordered in the polling stations following complaints of rigging and law and order situation created on the polling day.—APP
