PARIS, Nov 17: Unesco has decided to proclaim November 21 as International Philosophy Day and will be holding an international colloquium here on the subject.

“Our aim in undertaking World Philosophy Day,” said a Unesco spokesman, is “to give a visibility to this discipline, especially with regard to a young public, and to demonstrate that philosophy can help prove a new source of reflection on today’s most pressing problems.”
